John received his Bachelors degree (History) from the University of Kansas in 2002 and received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa, College of Law in 2006. During his last semester of Law School John was a visiting student at the University of Missouri: Kansas City. During this last semester John clerked at a plaintiff's personal injury firm focusing on complex pharmaceutical drug and medical device litigation. Since 2008, John has focused his practice towards Labor and Employment and joined the Employee Rights Law Firm – Law Offices of Mark A. Jess, LLC., in February 2010.
John is a member of the Kansas City Chapter of NELA, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, where he is a member of the 7th Bar Leadership Academy class, the Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter, CASA of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties and the Bars of Missouri and Kansas.
